Forté Construction is a principal contractor for full building projects, led by an experienced family team — drawing on more than 35 years delivering construction across the UK, Europe, New Zealand and Australia.
Forté Construction exists on a simple principle: the client should deal with the people actually doing the work. We act as principal contractor across the whole project and self-perform the groundworks and civils ourselves, rather than passing the riskiest stage of the build down a chain of subcontractors.
Led by an experienced family team. Headed by Martin Curtis — more than 35 years in civil engineering and construction across the UK, Europe, New Zealand and Australia — the team has delivered large-scale commercial and public-authority projects, built a civil construction business from start-up to significant revenue in three years overseas, and spent a decade on high-end private residential renovation and restoration. Our high-end private clients have been in the UK and France, pedigree that still informs the private work we take on today.
It's a deliberately direct way of working. We deal with clients face to face, give straight answers on what a project needs, and take on the work where we're genuinely the right contractor for the job.
How we work
From first survey to handover, one contractor holds the programme, the budget and the site. Fewer interfaces, fewer people to chase, one place the answer comes from.
We keep the programme-critical, highest-risk stage in-house and deliver it with our own teams — because that's where projects are most exposed.
We build for the people who own and commission buildings, working directly rather than through tender frameworks. Short lines, honest answers.
We take on work that's the right shape — within our region, ready to move, on sensible terms. If a project isn't right for us, we'll say so plainly.
