Selected work
A selection of recent and delivered work — private residential, commercial, education and agricultural — each managed start to finish by one experienced team, from first survey to final handover.
Commercial
At Casa Hotel in Chesterfield, the existing outdoor terrace serving Barça bar was converted into an enclosed, all-year dining room. Forté stripped out the old structure and rebuilt from the ground up as principal contractor — a state-of-the-art glazed pergola with sliding windows, set on new foundations.
One team, frame to finish. Forté managed the whole job — new foundations and slab, the glazed pergola, underfloor heating and herringbone tiling matched to the hotel's existing floors, and made good the surrounding paving. A single point of contact from survey to handover.
Specialist external works for the showroom of a national premium retail brand — a hidden drainage system installed, the old tiling stripped out, and the surface prepared and re-laid in large-format porcelain.
Built to last underfoot. The surface was prepared with anti-crack matting before the new porcelain went down, finished with epoxy grout — a hard-wearing, watertight result for a high-traffic retail forecourt.
An existing outbuilding renovated and built out into a bespoke boarding cattery — a new concrete base for sixteen pens, with an access path and landscaping to open the site up.
Survey to finish, one team. Outbuilding renovation, a new concrete base, the bespoke timber pen runs, and the hard and soft landscaping — all managed and delivered start to finish.
Education
A leading independent school in Doncaster has trusted Forté with a rolling programme of works across its campus over two years — sports fencing, road and drainage upgrades, barriers and signals, courtyards and landscaping, bespoke timber shelters, and classroom and bathroom upgrades. All planned and managed by one team around a live, operational school, to fixed handover dates each time.
Agricultural
A wagyu beef farm needed a new cattle housing building and a silage clamp, with drainage and tanks to contain the effluent run-off. Forté delivered it from survey and design through to the finished structure.
Delivered start to finish by our team — survey and design, the concrete bases, drainage and effluent containment, the silage clamp walls and the steel portal frames, through to the cattle housing.
Private & residential
A Bawtry property dating to 1820, largely unmodernised for over fifty years, taken on as a whole-house renovation under a single contractor — seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, a new kitchen, a renewed annexe and top floor, and the gardens, landscaping and driveway entrance.
The floors were the heart of it. Forté managed the whole renovation — removing the existing ground floors throughout and rebuilding them in fibre-reinforced concrete with insulation and underfloor heating across the footprint, then new boilers and utility connections for both the main house and the annexe. One team, accountable from strip-out to finish.
From Forté's decade of high-end residential work in France: the complete conversion of a rural barn — its neighbouring cottage unlived-in since the Second World War — into a bespoke luxury home, with the restored cottage run as a gîte.
Taken from A to Z. New drainage and external works, landscaping, a swimming pool, and a geothermal heating system feeding underfloor heating throughout — with solar-backed hot water and Italian tiling across the build. New roofs went on both buildings.
Bathrooms from our private residential work, finished to a high standard — full-height tiling, walk-in showers, stone basins, oak units and backlit mirrors. Bathroom upgrades also formed part of the programme at the independent school.
